From the acquisition in the mid-1990s, through the restoration of the vineyards in the early 2010s, to the recovery of the buildings: almost 30 years of study and care that shaped the identity of Cantoneri.

Vitigni Etna

There are places that do more than host a vineyard. They mark it, test it, give it character. Mount Etna is one of them.

We are an Etna winery, cultivating our vineyards at 670 metres of altitude, in Tenuta della Dainara, home to a family history and a landscape that is strong, essential, never fully tamed.

Cantoneri is a winery in Solicchiata, on the northern slope of the volcano, where the vine grows among deep volcanic sands, ancient lava flows and temperature shifts that make every harvest different from the one before.

Our Etna DOC wines take no shortcuts. They take shape through different interpretations of the same place: Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, reds that evolve over time just like our volcano; Carricante, a white that here finds a mineral, taut voice, at times rough, yet able to open up with elegance; the Orange wine, born from the meeting of memory and experimentation.
